I have a 38 fever on a triple axle trailer. It has the torsion style axles. My question is- What are you guys using to jack-up the trailer in case you get a flat? I heard that sometimes you can use 2-4x6's to roll the trailer up on to so the tire can be changed.Is there anything made specifically for doing this. I'm leaving for Arizona soon.Thanks Poolshrk

The jack in my F350 will work under the trailer. On Vacation I usually toss a hydraulic floor jack in the back of the truck. Which was the right thing to do last summer since I broke a spring

On a triple I had a brake assembly come loose and was "riding" around on the disk. I used 2 4 x 6's just like you said, but that's all I had to work with. It worked great, but if you have bigger problems then one flat you might need the jack.

Just be sur to deflate a tire and try the jack. Clearances change when the tires go flat and you don't want to be banging your head when you are on the side of the road. Also be sure the jack will actually lift the load. The ratings on cheap jacks are over inflated and that boat sure gets heavy fast.

Ask Cord, I always carry my floor jack with me on longer trips. And I carry a decent bottle jack too... I have a plastic tote I "borrowed" from work that I leave in the back of my truck with the jack, grease, bearings, 4 way tire tool, and a cheap carpet rug to lay on if needed. Comes in handy, right Tim????

Last time i got a flat, i backed the trailer up onto a curb. As soon as the wheel in front of it, (or behind it) gets up on the curb, your flat wheel should be off the ground. Same concept as the wood trick.

Who's to say you will be able to use the wood or a curb? Carry a jack!!!! Use the wood to chock the wheels and jack it up.

Two Bottle Jacks - I'm always concerned about jacking the trailer up from one point on the frame with all that weight. I bought two big bottle jacks and place one under the frame in front the wheels and one on the frame behind the wheels. I feel that by lifing the entire side, I'm not stressing out the aluminum I beam. The bottle jacks also fit nicely into my truck bed tool box, out of site and locked.

East Coast B has got it... Usually the bottle jacks adjust upward with a screw in, or out, shaft and with a piece of 2x4 you can always get under the axle to lift it... Unfortunately you need to get under the outboard portion of the axle usually rear, which might take some adaption but can be done without lifting the entire wight of the trailer and boat... Harbor Freight can handle the task for around $30 or so...

remember it is a torsion axle trailer. A whole different animal.

You're not lifting the axle, you're lifting the WHOLE side of the trailer,boat and beer coolers. A single jack will make a wishbone out of a trailer that size.

Wood blocks or a curb (if outer wheel is flat) under the 2 good tires is the best and easiest. Doesn't take much height to lift a torsion axle trailer to lift a wheel off the ground.
