Default Boat lift recommendations from LOTO people

I'm in the market for a 10,000 lb lift, and it seems that Poly Lift owns the market. Are there others of equal quality, for less money? $6500 is a lot of money for what you get. There's gotta be a business opportunity there!

Anything cheaper, will be just that, cheaper. I agree and don't see the $$ in them, but that's the going rate. You will not want to skimp on a cheap lift for use on LOTO. Rough water will send a cheap lift to the scrap pile.
I spent many months shopping for my 10k lift. Most all quality lifts are identicle, as far as the steel. The bigggest difference I found was in the tanks. Poly-Lift, Galva-Lift, Hydro Hoist. All great quality lifts. I met and talked with the Poly guy and walked thru his shop while searching. Super nice and helpful. He met the wife and I at his shop on a Sun after 8pm in Feb as we were on our way home from OK after just picking up the new boat. Ended up buying my 10k # from Galv as they are just 1 hr away from home and I did the assemble and install myself. Saved some $$$ going that route.

Polylift at LOTO, especially if your boat will be exposed to rough water.

We have a Galva too, seems very well built...

Check into Fibersteel too... Heard good things about them in rough water and priced cheap, but have never owned one.

I've got a fiber steel. Other then needing to change the lock nuts out to nylon inserts I havent had any problems with mine. Starting year 3 with it.
