Bravo 111
Threw the throttle shifter in gear and no response It felt like it was still in neutral. Then put it in reverse and back in foward then it engaged. Has anyone had this problem or am I in need of clutch work on the drive or need to adjust the shift cable.

could be any number of things, from simple to expensive.
My guess is a problem with the shift linkage or the pivot pin for the shift linkage (both items are inside the drive). Both are known weak spots on early B3's. Sometimes leaking seals will let saltwater in the shift area and corrosion can eat up those parts. They aren't terribly expensive, but they boat must be out of the water to work on it.
On the other hand, you may be able to adjust the cables and have it work perfectly. Hard to diagnose from another continent.
