They mount very easy and to remove you simply pull your ipod out (the ipods sleeves have felt to keep em snug, very snug). We debuted these at the LA boat show and people went nuts with Ipods since then we made some minor mods and are ready for production.
You have to give em a pretty good tap of the palm to release them from the mount. This design allows you to buy additional mounts for your tow vehicle, RV etc..
