hey can anyone who has a 24 superboat with twin merc 225's give me the prop and the size that they are using? Right now i have 26 choppers on it. The boat dosent seem to need any bow lift (two motors hanging off teh back) so i was thinking about trying a set of 28 cleavers.
any ideas
thanks

"GASSTICKS" is the only one currently running TWINS on a 24 on the board. Haven't seen him on in awhile.
-Z.ZUPERBOAT ran one with 225's. Choppers are really the only way to go.
-If MERC made LH Trophy Plus'...that would be ideal. You didnt note your current RPM's...so only you will know what pitch works. Use the prop calculator to verify your speeds. Use 10% as a slip factor. The TWIN 200 24 setups usually run 76-78...while the 225's around 80.
- I'll be right on your ass with a single 300X
.
As always...Post some pics.

Looks like there's going to be a HELL of a 24 Superboat shootout this year!
Gassticks is having computer problems, he is also selling his boat. I got his number if you want to compare notes with him.

My 24 had cleavers. The prop of choice then, im talking 1990.Times and props have changed,im sure there are better props out there today. With the cleavers even with the bottom on an 18 inch bracket the holeshot and midrange was not good but top end was great. In 1990 (young and stupid)there was 2 speeds on and off.Its been to many years to remember pitch.
