LOOK OUT for the BAD BOY SUPER V this season.

After testing this weekend in Sarasota the individuals all involved in the building, rigging, and testing(Tony Pacheco, Kurt Burger, Jay Muller, Will Ross, Matt and Julie, and anyone else not mentioned) of the BAD BOY 38' SUPER V were more then elated with the results the achieved on the boats first time out. Plans were made for some changes to better improve the boat and are already being worked on by the very talented owner/builder of the boat Tony Pacheco. Bad Boy Powerboats is going to be a Team to contend with in 2005.

I was able to visit the Bad Boy compound this afternoon and spent part of the day with Tony and a few others that work for him. Unfortunately I had no camera on hand as I do not own a digital camera as of yet. We talked about how the 38 SV and how it ran over the weekend in Sarasota and saw a few mods that were being performed as I was there. Got to see the second 38 SV that has been purchased being built in the Glass shop. There was a 32' SVL there waiting for someone to purchase it. There were many boats of today and past being stored there as well. Tony really reminded me today of some of the greats in the boat building and he is definitely joining that club. Again the BAD BOY is going to be something to contend with in 2005.
Thanks for the tour Tony!!!!!!!!!!

Does APBA/SBI, and/or OSS require homologation of the boats? Have all of the boats new to their classes been homologated? Bad Boyz (SV, SVL), Venom (F1), any others.

That raises an interesting question..... has the Bad Boy boat inquired about homologation?? What is the process and is there provisional acceptance for a year or something?? Hate too see them work so hard to get turned away at registration.

I'm sure they went threw the approprate channels to get OSS's approvel...
Raynman...thats a good point...since SBI/APBA joined I havn't heard on how it would work..but I'm sure Frank did what ever the procedure is to race the Venom....

I think Homologation is a thing of the past. It was just a way to raise money from manufacturers.
