It's really gone now!

My 380 is really gone now, over the years it was gone here and there for engine or factory work but today the new owner drove off with her for good. I put lots of time and effort int her not to mention the $$$$.
It was fun and I appreciate all the nice people here that have helped me with it. Hopefully the new owner will chime in here to say hi. It was sold to a nice couple in the Chicago area.

I have been looking at Express Crusiers, Formula Fountain etc... I still have the Fountain though. I may just run that this year and sell/trade next. Not sure yet. One thing is for sure I don't need 2 offshore boats.

Ray,
Thank you for the compliment! The 38 is tucked in a nice heated facility for now.
We thank you and appreciate all of the hard work and money you invested in this boat.
We are very excited about this upcomming season as well as all of our friends as we are usually out every weekend.
I also found you left a CD in the stereo, it will be sent with the heater.
The 38 went to a good home and we will take very good care of it as I have been wanting a 38 for several years now.
Will talk with you soon.

Welcome to the PQ family. Where are you from and where do you boat?
I've seen pics of Rays boat and you should be very happy. We bought our 38 last July and are extremly happy with it, so I'm sure you will be also. Take care.
Ray congrats on the sale

We do most of our boating on Lake Michigan. We had a Campion 910 Chase before this Powerquest and loved the speed and handling it provided.
Honestly, that Chase ran like a raped ape for stock power. We hit 80 to 82 MPH with the twin Volvo 385 DPX set up but unfortunately the hull was very good for speed and handling but was out of it's league in anything more than 3 foot chop which is very common on Lake Michigan.
That is where we got the handle "chase n us", because that's what the majority of other boats did as long as the waves were less than 1-3's.
The Campion is very similar to the Velocity set up as it is a pad hull design which makes for great speed.
The Powerquest was a dream come true, Thank you Ray, as it will provide a ride on Lake Michigan that will not cause the girlfriend to scream in fear as the Campion did so many times. It didn't take much to get 2-3 feet of air under the bottom from a small wave.
We cannot wait for this summer as I would have been happy with a stock 502 powered 38. The one we purchased was definately a bonus as I was very leery on purchasing something that had been modified because I don't like problems out on the lake. Ray made it very clear that this was very dependable power as verified by a call to Tyler Crockett and Rod Dash. They both spoke very highly of Ray and his concern for using top quality parts and not cutting corners on the mechanicals. I also did research on the drives by talking in person at the Miami Boat Show with the owners of Max Machine Worx, they provided the drive builds.
So all in all I think we will be very happy with this boat and hope to keep it a very long time.

Great to hear, I hope to make it up to lake Mich this summer with some friends, if so I will let you know, it would be fun to get out with anouther 38 PQ. By the way do you trailer much or have you been to the Ozarks? There is a bunch of us with PQ's planning on meeting down there for the shootout is August.
