I am putting in two Huber cryptonite trannys and was needing some input on how to make up a shifting bracket, I assume it bolts on the back of the transmission? Any help and pictures would be appreciated. They are driveline models with a lots of room behind them.

I dont know if tou solved this yet but on one of my boats the cables are latched into the standard cable clamp like on a carb bracket that is mounted to the driveshaft cover housing. you could also make a plate off of yours if you have a setup like that.
My other boat has them coming from the opposite direction with a stand off bracket mounted to the side of the trans.
You can still use the stck setup if you can find an old tranny to scab the parts.

This is the arangement on mine. Don't know if this helps. The cable fastnes to the stud then the cable ond goes to the bellcrank.

Hey imonstaa, I think I met you at Key West at the Hilton pool. Are you from Long Island?

This is the best picture I can dig up at this late hour, and it was taken prior to cable installation, but all I did was take a piece of 304 stainless barstock, bend it 90 degrees, drill it for the transmission bolt, bolt or weld the Morse 33C bracket to it in the right spot, and you're on your way. You do end up with a bit of bend in the cable, but I used Supreme cable which can easily sustain the minimal bend, and it works like a champ! Mine is a plug-in so I couldn't go from behind. You have a lot more options available.

Yep, that was me. Nice to talk to you again, and no you were not too offensive. I think by that time, we both had a few drinks in us. Whats your thoughts on this bracket. I have to come from the back because I am using bellhousing coolers, which get in the way from the front. I want to go with something simpler than the mercruiser deal. I was thinking of fabricating a bracket that would mount on the bottom of the back of the tranny and bend it upward and around, and then add a place for the morse cable.
