Default Crane HI-6M ignitiion question

I am thinking about buying the Crane HI-6M to replace the TB V on my 1998 HP500's that are now 620HP. Does anyone know if the merc knock sensor and module are compatable with the Crane ignition?
The Crane box has a brown wire that will activate the retard mode when grounded, the merc module also has a wire that goes from the knock module to the ignition module that triggers the retard. I am not sure if that trigger wire on the merc igniton grounds for retad or not, this is the same circut that you ground to set the timing on the TB V. Thanks in advance . Jeff

Just curious on the reason for the change? Rev limiter? Reason I'm asking is that I have thought of doing this myself.

This has been a couple of years ago but I witnessed an independent test of ignition boxes. The Crane was impressive to say the least.

Scott,
The rev limiter is the main reason.
Chris,
Thanks for the feedback on the crane box.

ratman,
I was going to fabricate a bracket to mount them to the back of the cylinder head, but crane says not to mount them on the engine.
