what is adobe reader on my computer???

I noticed it takes up a quite a bit of disk space slowing down my computer.....anyone know what it is???

Its for reading PDF files. a type of compressed Document file that can contain Images and text. Kind of an industry standard.

It is a large file however it shouldnt be slowing your computer. It shouldnt be running unless you are trying to open a PDF file.
Do yourun any adware/spyware sweepers?
That is most likely why your computer is slowing.

Ive got ad-aware 6 for spyware.........also 'java web start' has appeared lately........anyone know about that......???
