Keep boat on air dock, and sediment gets trapped between hull and bags my hull gets yellow staining. Also when i leave in water foe w-end. I have to use acid wash to get off. Is there anything i can treat botton with to slow down the staining?

Good luck I've found that waxing the bottom is the only thing that slows down the staining. Then when i use the (on-off) to get ride of the stain it takes the wax off. I wish I had more info. I hope someone else can help.

i use on off that is all i have found to get it off but i have heard if you wax it real good it will not turn yellow

Slimey Grimey does great on removing the stains, but short of a standard outta water lift, sounds like something you will always have.

I use hydrofluoric acid it is used to clean masonry, but works
great on taking the yellow off. I pour it in a spray bottle
spray the entire bottom of your boat, rinse with water, yellow
gone, stay up wind it is strong. It will not hurt wax job or fiberglass. It's the same as hull cleaner in a bottle but a lot
stronger. I've been using it for years an had no bad effects
on none of my boats!

I've used on/off for several years. Once you clean the bottom with this stuff (which works great) the staining comes back even quicker. I finally waxed the bottom of my last runabout and the staining took 2 months of every weekend use before staining was noticable. Wax MAY(???) slow you down, but it really speeds cleanup.

I have an airdock and have the same yellowing problem.
Ken at airdock told me it was the water and not the dock staining it.
I think its the water getting trapped by the pillows against the hull.

Slimey Grimey took it right off. You can buy it on ebay.
I will wax the hull this yr w/ boat shield.

Storm, I am in Eastport. 38' scarab. Love the airdock except for the staining. Its not the water as Ken sugest. Its the sediment that gets trapped on the ballons when they are left down while boating. My creek has 2'feet off loose goo that gets kicked up and into the airdock when the tide comes in. Also have seaweed, horseshoe crabs trapped when i come back from boating.

Do u have any problems with tide drop keeping the airdock tied properly?

No, my dock has only bottomed out once, but is always tied up right.
I think waxing the hull will help, but I won't wax the rear running surface.

The Slimey Grimey is great... I can take pics of where it was/wasn't used.
I sprayed it on let sit for a couple of seconds, and wiped off.
No gloves to water hose.

Sno-bol toilet bowl cleaner will take off the brown stain.
On-Off will remove the wax.

It IS the water, not the dock causing the stain.
