Tig it.

sil-phos and dry acid powder flux should work well.

or you can Tig it.

Tig with a Silicon Bronse rod.
Dont forget to remove the spring.
Dont want to heat it up.


This is what mine looked like before I hacked it up.

Contact , Linster hear on the board, he brazed both of mine on. Works really well and seals it up tight.

I tig all mine with special weld rod made to blend un similar steels and cast iron together

I have done tons with steel wire Mig. None have ever come loose. Do not braze!!! Note: only use new pickups.

thx andy i have a mig welder but brazed em instead they came out just fine. i used brass rod flux coated.

I've had both ways fail. I always weld a strap to the pick up and bolt that to the pump.

my pickup have that strap already, but thx for the heads up, ratman
