Outboard Throttle set up

Default Outboard Throttle set up

I have the typical throttle trim combination for Merc optimax 225 / has any one switched over to something more sleek?? need ideas any pics.??

If you have the large Merc control box you can swap that out for the Merc flush mount control and add the key start to the dash. Your 20 will look like this.

Looks good / what year is the boat? With an outboard can you have a throttle & shifter seperate like on a stearn drive

Yes, with an O/B you can have seperate ignition and trottle/shift controls. I think it's the same controls and cables for both an I/O or outboard. A Merc dealer will know and they can fix you up. I've looked at the aftermarket ones and was never all that impressed with the look they offer. The 20 pictured is an 88.

I have twin O/B's on mine.. the trim is just behind the wheel, shifters on the seat and a foot throttle.

Here's my setup with twin 250 Mercs, call Livorsi or e-mail. Call Trick marine or e-mail Livorsi, they will set you up with all the right stuff.

I had a Hydrostream that had a nice red anodized shifter from like rex marine..then a foot throttle and trim on the wheel.
