Default Not bad for a fishing boat??

My father had this boat built last year. It is a 30ft, 11ft beam made out of Juniper and glassed over. It has twin 300's and will top out at a whopping 50mph. What do you think?

I like it. Looks like it would take some seriously big water with that high bow. Nice cabin too??

Looks killer. If he is a serious fisherman he will love that it is made of wood. Helps keep the fish from hearing him.

I've seen more and more boats like it...
OB power has it's advantages...
But why 300 Yams, why? (this is a question, not an insult to any 300 yam owners)

Stormrider, Two guys in Harkers Island N.C. with last name of Lewis. It took them almost two years. It really is pretty, for a fishing boat.

Tim G., Why not 300's? It seems to be a heavy boat.

McRaymond... this is why it cracks me up that guys complain about 4-6 months to get a boat finished... and they think their boat is custom.
To me... if it comes from a mold, it aint that custom
Here is a pic of my fathers Knowles 40, and a link to the article.
BTW... its for sale.

True. A customer/friend of mine waited 4 years for his "truly custom" 52' Lyman Morse. Cost him almost 2 million.
