I have a gen6 502, rpm airgap manifold, stub stack w/K&N arrestor using a stock weber 750 off a gen 5 502. Everything else is stock. It runs fine but I'm afraid of leaning it out so I haven't run it hard or at WOT. Is there anybody out there with a similar setup that can tell me how they have their carb calibrated? I've tried recalibrating the carb(needles, jets, springs) numerous times with no luck.

The stock 410hp 502 ran webers so you should be able to get yours to work fine.
Why do you think it's leaning out?
Have you checked fuel pressure, changed the fuel water separator, removed the anti-siphon valve, etc?
See the model 1411 on the link below for Edelbrocks marine carb "out of the box" jetting, it should be close.

I've replaced every expendable part on the motor and checked the timing, fuel pressure, intake vacuum, float adjustment etc. repeatably. It may not be leaning out. I just want to be sure i'm not doing any damage at high RPM. Supposedly, if you install a stub stack you should richen the A/F mixture. I also figured that a roller motor may need more fuel. I've tried changing the calibration to that of the edelbrock you mentioned but then I started to get backfiring through the carb. I even followed edelbrocks cal chart and went one step richer and still had backfiring. Maybe it is set right and I shouldn't be so worried. I guess at this point I'm looking for peace of mind. Maybe there is an fuel/air mixture monitor I could install? If anyone disagrees I'd appreciate the feedback. Thanks.
