32 Skater Outboard Speed?

Does anyone know what a 32 Skater with 4 2.5's run? Also I know a 32 with 3 300x's run about 121 more or less. Has anyone heard of a 32 with 3 300x's or with 3 2.5's running faster than 121mph? Thanks

There is one for sale now with 4 2.5's. The boat is called Feel the Sting. I believe the boat ran 132 or so. I know they spent a lot of time setting that boat up.

THE STING is a new style 32B and was rigged by INGLE marine and is awesome, ran 130+
Quattro is now in th SF Bay area and is a 32' classic and also runs in the 130's and was rigged by John Vanderstel of offshore concepts.

There aren't many triple 32's capable of 120+ VERY FEW. Taqulia was the fastest one I ever saw in person.

So if that boat had 4 2.5's and ran that do you think a 32 with 4 300x's will run faster?

Hard to say overall they may run the same speed meybe slower , the 2.5 turns more rpms and each motor weighs about a hundred pounds less so your adding 400 lbs and turning less rpms, I personally like the 2.5s for flat out numbers. 4 300's would be alot of weight on the transom and would need a tanker along side to refuel ALOT.

I am trying to figure out who has the 32 in the bay area.
i know van depiro ( runs popra) has a 32 with 4 2.5's on it ,,
and i know there was a 32 with 3 300's i think, he lives a block from me never see the guy and now has a 36 with big power and 6's
i cant think of any other 32's out here with outboards.. hmm
i will be asking around now,,, : )
very interesting!!
do yu know anyone with an older skater or/ race boat that would want to get into a newer fast pleasureboat?
i am tryng to make it easy and find a deal where someone wants out of an old race boat and into a nice newer 100+ pleasure boat.
thanks either way
always appreciate your incredible amount of knowledge!!

Van Dipero is who I am talking about. The boat used to belong to P. Whittier

There was a 32 ( old style ) in Toronto that ran 133..... with Tripples. The owners name skips my mind at the mommnet

( Andrew Martin )

Anyhow it was the Test bed for Alex Hledins 2.7 Mercs. 400+hp each.

Firewalker what engines did thar 32 have with tripples? 2.5's or 300x's Stock? I'm looking into buying a 32 wit tripples 300x's but it only runs 120 mph. Do you think the boat is not dialed in correctly or thats just what they run? Thanks

Re: 32 Skater Outboard Speed?

They start as 2.5's add 10k and you have a 2.7 with 400hp....... don't ask about the reliability.
Not a huge fan of the 300X's, but then again most guys shouldn't own 2.5 as they don't know how to care for them and don't bother with the maintenance.
