I drive through a series of marinas everyday in the summer to get home. I have never seen so many empty slips. Usually this time of year people have been fighting for a few weeks to get their boat in the water. Not this year. Fuel prices have had the largest effect but the # Skaters for sale make me wonder if they are more insurance or noise related.

I guess a lot of guys are going into new Skaters , got to sell the old ones.

I think the insurance has alot to do with it.

They are asking to much $$$$ Everyone is trying to make monies on there boats, when we all know a boat depreciates.

I have seen some good prices on boats compared to putting one together or buying a new one...you will see when you try to save a buck ...:eek:
