open ocean???

Im interested in buying a 40' plus skater in the near future so im doing all my home work first! One of the biggest questions is how will this boat work in the open ocean?Always had large 38 plus v's and have never been in a cat in the ocean! Thanks for the help!

I havent' ridden in a 40 yet but I've been in some 46's in big Atlantic water and big Lake Michigan water. The ride is what you'd expect from a 46 foot boat. They span the waves well and maintain great speeds with proper trim and throttle. I assume the 40 has an excellent ride as well. Tough to go wrong with either.

It will ride and handle better than any v at the same speeds.
