115-120 mph. Nice thing is you can do that all day long and not worry about breaking anything. Most 32's have bravos.

"The ex tips , they are cute !!!"

Are you saying the exhaust tips? Those are custom CMI 4" down turns that exit underwater at idle. The boat has a real bark at speed. It is only 83 DB at idle. No noise tickets with this boat. Zero restrcition, zero loss of power, zero tickets. CMI 525 full tube headers, CMI 4" tailpipes and CMI tips. There is over $20,000 of exhaust pieces there.

Best of luck with the sale.

cfischer 08-12-2008 12:59 PM

Didn't this boat used to have big power in it?

Brad Zastrow 08-12-2008 02:32 PM

Yes 1200 or 1300 hp. It was used for speed runs and a few Poker Runs. Boat was like new when I bought 2 years ago and still looks great. Blueprinted bottom and the big power and it set a record at the LOTO shootout of 162 mph with a top speed of 170. Worlds fastest 32. Now it is the worlds best looking 32 with bullet proof speed.

fbrs 08-12-2008 05:04 PM

beautiful boat. i had finally decided on a 30 with outboards now i'm undecided again... haha

Brad Zastrow 08-13-2008 11:43 AM

I have owned a 30 Motion cat with triple O/B's. It was fast and the wow factor was cool with triples, but this 32 with I/O power is far nicer and just as fast. too may issues with O/B's breaking parts. The ride is MUCH better with the weight of I/Os. The funny thing is at Poker Runs nobody would give the eggbeaters any respect, yet have a couple 525's under the hatch and everyone drools. This boat would cost $500k to build new.

RunninHotRacing163.1 08-13-2008 11:57 AM

beautiful boat

activatorf1 08-13-2008 04:01 PM

Triple what?? 260or 280 ? I would never would have considered a 32 back then or any other cat with those timebombs , never ! Again I hear nothing but good things about the new 300 Opti and yes the dealers say they make the old non DFI motor obsolete. I have always ran IO power in my race boats , looking forward to great fuel economy , less noise , and 100 mph with 620 hp ( 2-300 opti , 310@ the prop x 2 )

Brad Zastrow 08-14-2008 09:28 AM

I guess I struck a nerve. Sorry. Keep a spare lower unit around. Resale value sucks on O/B boats. Been there done that.

activatorf1 08-14-2008 11:55 AM

No , it's all good !! I'm just poor and a OB 32 Skater is all that I can afford !!! I paid 23k for complete boat fully rigged and super nice triple axle trailer minus power . I do all my own work and should be around 55 k when done and I will have new Opti's , I think that is a good # for when done a almost new boat .

One bad ass 32,I think that is the ultimate combination! I think resale sucks on ANY performance boat.Hell look at the price of a new 46 Skater and the price of one 3-4 years old!

As far as the 300 xs I blew one in 26hrs, going to Lauderdale monday for my new powerhead. Good thing for Warranty:drink: I do enjoy burning 28gph @ 90mph

fbrs 08-14-2008 12:52 PM

brad, whats the fuel capacity and range on this?

activatorf1 08-14-2008 01:32 PM

please tell how the Opti compares to the old school outboards from your exp

Larry

offshoresteve 08-14-2008 04:33 PM

The 300xs is an awsome eng. It shifts smooth, idles ,accelerates hard, burns alot less fuel! I had 280 2.5`s and 340hp 2.5`s.The 300xs along with the smartcraft system view or race view is the perfect set up. Although I blew one at 26hrs,I believe it was "Bad Luck" and the 300sx is a very reliable , strong, efficient motor.

activatorf1 08-14-2008 05:48 PM

Thanks , that is what I 've been hearing . I will have two new 300 Opti's next spring , Santa told me so !!!!

seriously brad, i'd be interested in this kind of setup, instead of outboards, but am not sure about the range the lower mpg will restrict it to. can you give me an idea?

thx

Brad Zastrow 08-29-2008 09:35 AM

New deal....... $85,000 no power. Sell with or with or with out power.

As for mileage I have never really checked. The 525's in a cat are really easy on gas. I never fill it up as it hold 200 gals. I can cruise at 3000 rpm at 60 mph. Estimated 2 mpg gives you a range of 400 miles at cruise speed. I burn about 50 gals every two weeks. I boat about three time a week, but not real long runs. The last Poker Run we burned 1/4 tank (50 gal) of gas in 80 miles running hard.

fbrs 08-29-2008 10:18 AM

thanks for the info
am i missing something? 85 for the boat and 40 for the 525's ???
