Anyone know this boat?

Still shopping.. More and more boats coming along each day. I came across this one today. Was wondering if anyone here knew anything about it before I contacted the owner tommorow.

I know its listed as having blisters, but I can get those repaired if its not too bad.

Seems like an ok deal.

Could take alot of $$$ to do blisters. Other than the blisters it looks like a hell of a boat and drive train for the $$.
I cannot imagine what insurance would be unless you have alot of Cat experience!

ya, back to the dang insurance issue.. blah.. ive done blister repair on my own boat before i had the sunsation. It seemed to hold up well and didnt take much time so I cant imagine a pro would charge to awful much. I do have some concerns about it though..

cool, thanks for the help. Were you guys the original owners? Has it been labeled as a different race boat since it was Eastern Express?

masher44 10-08-2008 10:38 AM

if you are financing it be careful. Make sure it isnt classified as a race boat. They did that to me and required 50% down. But a baller like you can stroke a check

I dont think insurance would be an issue too badly. That is a real sweet looking boat! I have been peeking at the newer 32s as well.

A lot of insuarance and finance co will not do a boat older than 15years.
You could always pay cash and self insure:rolleyes:
Regardless of insurance or financing that boat is a steal for that $$ If I was in the market I would BUY IT!!!

forgot about the 15 years thingy.... for that amount maybe a loan with a personal bank for a shorter term....?

I know times have changed in last 60 days for financing, but Kool-aid on the board here has a bank that has financed several boats, the last one for a guy he sold his 1988 Top Gun to. Send him a PM, in the Chicago Powerboat Club sect a lot. Hope it helps. Hammer

looks pretty nice...

It was a great boat, after the crash in the 1992 Panama City race she went on to win many races. I believe the drives are #4 with a large prop shaft,, thats what we ran back then.

32agitator 10-08-2008 11:48 PM

#4 's wont hold big power i found out the hard way now i have #5's

allstarmarine 10-09-2008 06:38 AM

The boat currently has fresh #5s on it.
