36' triple o/b race boats
 

How many 36' triple outboard boats where made to race.
How many of thoses race boats made it into pleasure boats.
Years ??

Ed Reily (sp) had one. Got spanked at most races by the 32s though...

John Robinson raced a 36 triple outboard that was discussed quite a bit the past year in this forum. It was raced as Snakeman Racing and was very successful 2001-2003 winning I think at least two national championships.
It is in the process of becoming a pleasure boat.

Critical Lift......

There were maybe 4 boats built as raceboats.

-Team Abu Dahbi was built by Ocean Outboard and went to Europe / The Middle East.

- Ed Reily / Jim Robinson (Falcon/Snakeman) was the same boat cut open to quarter canopies, was last purchase by OkieTunnel here on the board I think. John Vanderstel re-rigged this boat and had it running near 120......

- Critical Lift ex Ocean Outboard was a way cut down 36.

- I also think there was a similar boat built to Critical Lift in Canada and that was the TARGET boat. I don't remember it actually ever racing though.

Those are the only 36 triple canopied boats I remember.

Which one was for sale on the old Skater website. It was on there for a long time, I think the contact person was Peter's brother ?
Was 1994 or 1995 the first year that they where made.

the 36 goes in for reconstructive surgery in a couple of weeks, I'll keep you posted
