28 Trip 300x's speed?

Saw in Classifieds; holy crap must run 125-130+

Anyone know the speed? twins run 115-120 right.

Yeah, that thing is silly!

A 28 with trip 260's runs over 125.

And the acceloration with 2.5s is mindblowing

Who makes a windshield for the 28 Skater ??

dreamboater 10-05-2009 09:26 PM

Thats a lot of weight on the rear that boat. Sure its great in calm water but in rough water it must be a hand full.

I would think it would run mid 120's but probably out accelerate a lot of bigger faster boats.

I've seen transom stress crack with just the weight of 2-300 x , cant imagine having three on the back . From what I was told boat was designed for 2-2.5

We rigged one (buitl for em by Skater) with 3 2.5s worked to abotu 300 each. In a following sea 3 feet and under you wont beat it. Actualyl has a 2nd fuel tank, runs like a raped ape.

That sure does seem heavy for a 28.. I guess it depends on how the back end is setup. If the backseat is against the transom, earplugs will definately need to be worn! and rough water, no passengers in the back! The 28 feels ass heavy as it is because its such a light boat.. (IMO)
