i had some good times up there about 11 years ago. I'm long over due! There were three 28 skaters that were all purchased at the same time, they were all friends and I had my spectre 30 triple at the time. Do you know who I'm talking about??? It was a blast, it kinda reminds me of buckeye ocean |
What state is that?

Sadly my dad and Steve have sold their skaters and the only one left is the one that was in the mercury photo shoot with your spectra. I pretty much maintain the boat for him however so I get an occasional ride. In all seriousness though your 36 is a very unique boat and I'd love to see it sometime. |

yes, pm your contact info so I have it, and we can look you up. Is steve hale still up there? I heard that one of those skaters spends the winter in sw florida somewhere, that is probably the one that was in the photo shoot. We spend alot of time in around the boca grande/gaspirilla island area as my wife has people down there. I keep my eyes peeled for skaters but never see any when i'm there. Also what ever happened to the lamb brothers? They were always eager to bring something out (remember that red 24) and run hard down the lake. |
Yo dave were haveing are xmas party friday the 16th at the shop all day if you and yours are in town stop by.

a project of this magnitude is great if you have ADD. If I start working on one thing and run into a problem or get distracted and by looking around I can quickly go off on to a new direction with something else.
So over the weekend I decided to work on getting the gas tank plumbing finished up. Thanks to GlassDave the tank pickups and fuel lines to the pumps were in place. I ordered sending units of the proper length (I went with 18 inch) to allow a little extra when fuel gauges showing empty. These livorsi units were reasonably priced and available. |

I made sure that no teflon tape was used on fuel related fittings as it has the tendency to break down and wreak havoc in the fuel system. It seems that there is alot of disagreement and mystery when it comes to what is best to use on the threads of fuel system fittings. I'm not talking about the AN fittings. I'm referring to the pipe thread fittings such as found on gas tanks outlets. It was suggested that I use the permatex brand high performance thread sealant. So after installing the fuel level sender I used that product on the fittings according to directions and finished off with putting on the fuel delivery and tank vent hose and tightened everything up
