Good points waterboy,, I didn't know the full wrap shield was avail on the 24.. ya that would look great..!! I'd never seen the 1/4 canopies on a 24 til this one.....It was just nice to see the wind protection... The more I look at the 24, omg, it looks so little haha
The cool thing about the 24 is when you're standin around talkin Skaters with all the other owners, you'd think most of them would be talkin about what ungodly powered top speed demon wavecrusher Skater is producing, but they all end up wanting to talk about the 24! You can have a guy with a million dollar boat and he'll still want to talk about the 24, they get a lot of respect from other owners.

LOL, don't let the fact that it's a 24 make you think it's going to be some great, affordable, entry level boat for someone to jump into that can't swing one of the bigger ones.
I remember when Cumberland had that same cut down 24 for sale when it was brand new a few years ago, & the price was somewhere in the $300's if I recall. I doubt it's dropped significantly since then even if it's a "used" boat now.
You can buy a nice used 36 Classic, an even nicer 32 or possibly 30, & a HELL of a nice 28 for less than what that particular 24 is going to run you.

That cut down deck on the 24 just seems like it would be REALLY scary.. Theres a pucker moment 7 out of 10 times you leave the water that makes you think youre goin in nose first, but you add that cut down deck and it would really up the pucker factor.. Even though it wouldnt really affect wether it stuffed or not, you definately see your re-entry a lot better.. Yikes! It does look REALLLLLLLY good with no rubrail though!
If I ever re-rig mine, Id set it up like that one though, Id move the wheel to the port side. Im better with my right arm I think..

my ass... If you enjoy havin your teeth rattled loose at 0-45mph, sure.. anything above that it beats you to death til youre running 9/10ths.. Feels great at 100mph on the rev limiters with no glass in the water and running into the wind..
Short of that, be ready for some bruised ribs and lots of trim/throttle work to "get around"..
24 Skater = NOT a dinner run boat.
