Skater bottoms

What are the differences in the hull between the older 40s and a new 40 classic? What about the SS? Flat Deck? Pleasure?

Can someone with some pretty good Skater knowledge tell us a little about the differences between the sizes, as far as the hull is concerned. The aesthetic differences are pretty obvious as far as the rubrail and interior accomodations, engine hatches, etc.

On Skater's site, it says a new 40 classic is:
Length:40'
Beam: 10' 11"
Tunnel width: 59"
Front Tunnel Height: 38"
Rear Tunnel Height: 24"
Weight:4750 #
Sponson Deadrise: 18*

Are these numbers the same for all the other 40's? Has there been any major bottom changes and what years were they? Any years to look for or to avoid?

A 40'SS is 1 foot wider, it has a 5 step bottom, running surface 40' LOA 44'4", the tunnel depth is 7" higher in the front and 1" higher in the rear......just a few.

40SS is 11' 10" and 46' is 12'. The redo on your boat looks great.
