Please look at this picture and inform us how a third engine is installed

install a jack plate and an engine in the middle...and then go fast.

way too slow ???? Yes in the skater world 105 might be slow but can count on one hand the number of boats on Cheasapeake that run above 100 MPH everyday . A third engine is not worth the 15-20 mph . Just step up to plate and buy a skater I O and go 160

Somebody needs to do it just for the wow factor. I agree they probably won't be in business in a few years and the wieght and drives would be an issue but two motors and more HP than three 300XS's!

Has anyone just bolted on the 300X's. That should be worth a few MPH. As I get older I appreciate the comfort and safety of the bigger hull in big water.

I heard Jimmy Johns boat didn't not run well with intial set up. Boat was running barely a 100mph. Have a friend with a 30' Skater in NC w/300x's and he has seen 112mph in ideal conditions light.
Most 30's run around 100mph best case with 2 300xs's . I think one with triple 300xs's and DBR mods w/cowlings would run over 115mph and accelerate really good. Not sure how much better it rides in the rough though over the 28 with a good balanced set up? I think I/O's are good if you have a lot of money for the engine package but there is something to be said about not having all the maintanence especially in salt water.

The acceloration and handling make it worth it. A 32 a needs tripples to run as far as im concerned. a 30 with tripps would be the tits!

106 with 1990s prop technology. Not the point though, the boat will never handle as good as it did then without tripples. And it will NEVER accelorate as well. Those motors were also right on the transom. Twins on a 32 just dont work as well.

My boat ahould accrding to Shaun run 105-108 with me 3.2 Litre EFI stokers and gueass what , 6 less pistons and a gearcase to worry about . In the beginning of my project I got asked why not triples ? I replied I dont hate myself that much !! Not worth the B.S

+1... a 32 classic w/ twin 300x's 100 -101.. and they wont handle the rough any better than a 28..
