Ya I've called the few o/b salvage guys I know and no one has one yet. I think a lot of people toss them not knowing how much they cost.
If I don't come up with one soon, I'll use my other one as a mold and make a fiberglass version of it. I really don't want to though because I already have so much glass work goin right now.. |

Hey wb ....over on the other thread ....didn't you say something-like ..... you gotta pay .. if you want to play ?
1700 beans does sound like a lot though ... did you ask them why so-much? Thats a whole month of fuel for my boat!:lolhit: |
You might try performance marine in oolagah. I get my merc parts through him. He usually sells me what I need for his cost plus 10%. Maybe a long shot but worth a try.

300X cowlings
Look at this thread.
Guy named Ronnie says he makes them. There was a set for sale at Fullers Marine but think they sold. http://www.screamandfly.com/showthre...for-sale/page2

$1700 is acceptable for something if you HAVE to have it to make the boat run properly. I was commenting on aesthetics in the other thread. You don't need a $40k paintjob to make that boat run. Just like I don't need this part to keep enjoying my boat. It just irks me that its missing. Not $1700 worth of irk, but still..
