Apologies, but my knowledge on the history of this hull is incomplete.

Perhaps Sea2Jet can chime in and the other previous owners.

Thanks Noli for posting about my boat. As soon as I get back from a trip I'm on this week, I will take some good pictures so I can list it. I did a lot of digging before I purchased it. I talked to almost everyone involved, including Rick Felsen, who lives close by on Long Island. It was the race boat called High Risk. It won numerous titles. Before Rick had it, Kevin Brown raced it for Team Skater. The right side sustained some damage during a race and the boat was retired and sent to Guardado Marine in Miami for the conversion to a pleasure boat and the new paint. They are ones that do a lot of work on the race boats like, Drambuie on Ice, etc. Their work is amazing. They have a nice website showing just what they can do with fiberglass and paint. PPI did the interior and I have to say, they do really nice work also. Everything is locknutted in place. No wood screws. Ryan applied the graphics. I was going to have him make up another set from his records, but decided to stay with the theme but change it up a bit so I had local sign shop do it. $6000.00 later...Yikes....But they did do an awesome job.
John Vanderstel, who worked for Lake X, and I believe now works at Statement Marine, did the new rigging with the 2005 Mercury 300x motors which were new at the time. John is know as being one of the best riggers around. Really nice guy. The boat was sold to a doctor who had it for 4 years I believe, and used it for poker runs and pleasure boating. One other person had it after that and used it for a year and sold it to me.
I love working on and detailing anything I buy. I got the boat, had the graphics done and installed a new rub rail, powdercoated the drink holders and battery boxes, installed a new stereo and Momo steering wheel. I saw some oil around one of the props so I took the Sportmasters off and sent them to Nopper Marine. Pete installed new seals, impellers and we decided to go with brand new shafts($2000.00). I picked up the Taylor billet shift purches with 4 seals and the Lakeland vent kits and all that was installed along with a full polish on the cases and the Mercury, 32P labbed Cleavers. Did I say I can't leave enough alone????? And I'm sure I am forgetting half of what I really did, LOL.
That's the history in a nutshell. I have some great videos of the boat racing from Freeze Frame that will go with it, along with alot of other stuff. With 3 boats over 32 feet, the Skater, a Sutphen 33 pleasure boat and another Sutphen race boat called Tsunami, which is 34 feet, I'm running out of room. If any of the other boats should sell, I would keep the Skater. I still really need something to run up in Maine on our lake and 32 feet is just too big. Thats why I would consider a 24 or 28 Skater.

The repair after the Key West crash was done by Guardado Marine in Miami, who also shot the boat white. John Vanderstel did the re rig and conversion to twins.
