Very cool !
Who built the strokers and did you ever run this boat with twin stokers ?

davidmercury 11-03-2012 08:09 AM

Carl that is awesome! I take it that you are running 15X34's?

chardt 11-03-2012 09:18 PM

The boat has always had triple 300x motors (rigged at skater), I have never ran it with twins. I am running 14.625x34 four blade dewalds. I have ran 14.5x34 3blade cleavers also; any bigger diameter prop (15") picks the back end up too high. (I have tried almost every combination possible, I have 14 props for the boat) I built the strokers last winter with alot of advise from Eric Simon who also reprogramed my ECU's. I have about 50 hours on them this season with no problems.

what is the best top to date with strokers and what was best top speed with stock 300x ?

What do you think the hp is per stroker ?

Larry,

Best speed to date is 123.5mph with 50 gal of fuel and 200 lbs of gear on an average air day (29.4"hg). I do most of my testing on a small 2 mile long lake so I run out of space fast. (lake Michigan is normally not very cooperative) Before the strokers my best speed was 120 mph (perfect day light load 50 degrees out and a tail wind), but with the strokers I can hit 120mph on a 80 degree day with two people and 50 gallons of fuel. I didn't notice a lot more speed on the big end but acceleration and load carrying capability is better. I would expect more top end gain on a twin engine boat like yours. My boat feels like it hits a wall at 120mph, it has been very hard to get those last few mph's. Eric simon tell me the Horsepower is around 375 at 6950rpm, the motors like to run around 7000rpm. I tried proping at 6600rpm; the motors lugged, felt slugish and I could only hit 119mph.
