The mist is still back there, but the power heads are always dry now. The side inlets are forward of the mist. The mist starts at about 105 mph and continues on from there. Thanks for pointing it out, a lot of outboards eat water and salt.

I run the same cowlings and have had Mike Nass get me the air ducts for inside. I have run my motors in salt water their whole life. The motors are absolutely perfect and dry with no salt. These things work.

The popet valves worked for me, they dump a massive amount of water out the side of the motor, not the rear, works well. I like they new cowlings though, who made them?
