NEW 388 SKATER with Mercury Racing 1350's and M8 drives.

Is Peter/Skater now going away from rigging 6's on the Merc 1350's and keeping the factory package complete or is this a client's preference???

If you look back on your post you ask what the record was at LOTO in the class this boat will run in. Which is 148mph.

Every 1350 Mercury package I have sold has the M8 drives on it. I don't know of any Skater's that have #6's with 1350's Mercs.

Sorry, I may have my paths crossed from an older thread where there was discussion carrying on about the limitations of the 6 compared to the M8... someone quoted Peter as saying that the 6's can handle over Merc's spec rating on a cat vs. the constant load from a V hull.

Thank for clarifying!

The 6s perform better & have more gear options. Than the 8s. Also the 6s have better hydrodynamics.

Flight club, your building anew skater? Your last one was incredible. What made you keep it for such a short time? I want to build a smaller version of that maybe off the 33 fatboy
