Its amazing that in the real world those might cost under a 100.00 to manufacture but since its intended for Marine there are people out there that will pay 1000.00 . Sorry they might look OK , but they better blow me for that kind of money !!

Skate, here is where I put mine. Depends on the size\make you are using on whether they will fit on the lower step. Keep in mind the overhang from the step if mounted lower might block some of the lights. Zero Patience has green ones on his Skater that look nice with the colors of his boat. Mine are the Lumishore SMX150;s ,
Their lights are very bright. Offer many different surface ATTACH=CONFIG]519595519594[/ATTACH |

How the boat doing? |
Thank you for the offer , I must have missed that . I made this same dash part 3 years ago, however I made mine out of 1/8 alum with alum studs welded to it so no screws show on outside. The panel is painted yellow and my graphics run onto panel .
Thanks again Larry |
let us know what you come up with and how they work. any updates on any other changes you might be doing? :party-smiley-004:

Yes indeed. Actually have two sets 34's and a set of 30's. Also a set of 29" Herring round ear thru-hubs.

LEDs are installed under dash, side compartments and rear hatch. They are red or white and they change color and intensity with toggle of the power switch. They are heavy duty marine grade LEDs and very durable. The underwater LEDs are installed white or blue. I put them directly centered with each motor on the transom above the step. The side panels and front seats are completed. The rear seat will be done next week. I made the rear seat bolsters convertible. You can run it with the bolsters or remove them an replace with an insert so the girls can lounge when we are not running hard. I installed a JBL round Head unit with blue tooth connectivity. JL Audio M400/4 amp and JLAudio MX 7.7 speakers. It actually sounds like I knew what I was doing. Installed five person intercom system. Also changed out bezels to platinum bezels. LA I put my vintage Lake X prop covers on for you! |
looks great skate! want to do some underwater leds but that may not get done till fall. I would love to have those prop covers!!! don't leave em on when I'm around or they will end up down here in Louisiana LOL. I will update my thread a little today. picked my boat up Saturday.:evilb:
how come one of the manufactures of the controls and/or mercury doesn't fix the shift issues with these outboards so we don't need the d@mn bungee to hold them from jumping out of gear? |
Skate,
Boat looks great. Who's intercom did you install? I have a pirate com in mine and am not really happy with it. I am looking for a system that would have the rear seat riders use a push to talk instead of voice activated mics as the engines noise keeps their mics hot all the time. Now all you need is a boarding ladder in the middle of the transom between the motors! |
