Has anybody tried different center to center measurements on a 28 Skater?

Mine are @ 50 1/2" center to center.
It's a 1996

your measurement of 50 1/2 " is that the width of the tunnel at maximum location (lowest point in the tunnel, below the inside chine) ?

That is the measurement from center of crankshaft to center of crankshaft (or prop shaft to prop shaft) guessing the tunnel would be 45" =/-
