Can a 28 be built as a flat deck? I don't think I've ever seen one, and maybe there is a reason. Lol

Awesome project, it would be great if mercury would make available the 400 outboard. If youre thinking of trips, do it now, rather than having to re rig later

Precision, yes a 28 can be built as a flat deck, and widened as well. I talked to Skater about doing one. Just a lot of coin.

Thanx everyone for all the input. I like the idea of moving the bulkheads for more room. Being that the boat was already under construction when I took it over I don't have a lot of options there. From the pics Ive seen the bulkheads are already in place. As far as the CG goes Ill have to trust that Pete gets that right. Sounds like it may be able to be corrected by these ballast tanks you speak of. Ill have to bring that to there attention as it sounds like they should be installed during the build. Im sure the rear one could be done later. Where would one up front go and is it necessary. Sounds like I should be more concerned about being front heavy because of the windshield situation. Hydraulic Jackplates are the bomb. Twin 300XS are going to max out at 100-102. Trips or something "stronger" would make it more fun.
Make sure they put fender pins on the deck also.

Hey LA, Not sure how many 308 flat deck wide body boats have been built before this. I know not many. Haven't been able to confirm that info. You have any idea how many are out there? Steve.
