Had to get a small repair done on the hatch due to hatch pin failure. . Brand X did a great job. While it was there had the name and Skater logo painted on the inside too.

Default New Hatch Pins

After all the time, money and effort spent on my hatch repair upgrades I realized the hatch pins from Skater were not going to cut it. Found these auto-locking ones from Quik-Latch. They are really nice and work well. However they are not cheap but I feel are worth it. You push down to unlock and lift. Highly recommend the upgrade.

Very nice, Ron. A great improvement over the "hair pin" type! Did you have to recess the hatch from the bottom side to accommodate the receiver button?

No however the length of pin was about the same as thickness of the hatch. Cut the hole tight and siliconed it in place. Once locked all the force is on the latch anyway.
Going to make a plate to cover the old holes on the inside this week. Will post pics.

Great job losing the hatch pins for good. I'd like to learn more about doing that to mine. Thanks
