NP Looks awesome. Problem is once it hits salt water it turn really quickly. I found that using a product called SHARKHIDE sold at West Marine works really good to keep shine. You just wipe it on a clean surface with no wax.
if nothing else it will look good for the initial pics!

Yeah, I'm kinda dumb like that. I'll try the sharkhide. We're fresh/brackish water boaters and they stay pretty good. I run down river to the salt 3/4 times a year.
Thanx for the tips.

The sharkhide works, I use it on my XSs and 6 drives. Get baby diapers to put it on. Your boat is looking excellent.

You guy's know I appreciate all the tips and jokes ... but there is no way I'm gonna wear baby diapers to put shark hide on my boat. ;-)

Nice... Heck I'm doing good to get gas and oil in the tanks and change lower unit oil. Do you guys have day jobs??

Works good on aluminum trailers too.

How often do you need to apply the Sharkhide. That sounds like a good idea.

Zero Patience 02-23-2016 05:37 AM

In salt applications, I wash the boat and dry it. Then wipe the lower with acetone, then reapply the shark hide. The Cig sat in Key West and the Keys for 8 days, when we pulled it out to come home the 6s looked great still.
In fresh water the Skater lowers turn dark in one day with out the Shark hide, with it they only change where the exhaust dumps on the cav plate. So each time it's in the water, I wipe with acetone and reapply also.

Jim has it down.
Stuff works great and saves hours of polishing.
