I do enjoy putting the 28 on 75-80 mph and running down the river for an hour. (the 28 is very comfortable and predictable @ those speeds)
Yes, all I did was chase the brass ring for more than 50 years on the H2O

We had a client that developed this same attitude towards go-fast boating...He always had impeccable European luxury and performance cars and a pair of off shore boats in his stable that deserved respect for what they could run... but he ran at a moderate cruise with a few occasional ( as he put it) blasts to the upper rpms each year.

One day he was tied up at he docks, a snotty 20 something (who played/blew his fathers money and boats) starts giving him grief for driving his boats like a "grandfather".

The gentleman tried to ignore the comments but when he had enough, very bluntly said," One quick prop change and I will hand your ass to you..." There is a difference between running hard to stroke your ego (and to break your gear) and running fast to enjoy life.

Enjoy your hard work - that Skater is beautiful!
