Default 28 Skater - Lil Recovery Build

Just thought I'd start a thread to show the build. I love following these threads and watching projects evolve and I'm happy I finally get to do one.

After riding in 28 Freedom I was hooked.

This boat wasn't for sale but through this forum it found me. I say that because it's a perfect compliment to Recovery.

The plan

Complete derig by TNT - starting from scratch. I literally told them to get rid of anything that wasn't like new. No "make it work" stuff for me.

All new updated dash and electronics courtesy of Double Rigged
New 300XS motors
Aeromarine windshield - I love 28 Freedom's windshield but I don't want to have the glass work done and the down time
Rear hatch conversion - move the rear seats up and add the hatch - headed to Boat Customs as soon as it's done at TNT.
SeaDek flooring

The other little hitch - I want to run it on my birthday - end of March.....TNT is making it happen. Windshield may not be done but I should have a usable boat. After my birthday run it's of to Michigan to do the hatch - and it needs to be back to LOTO to enjoy this summer.

Plans are to back the dam to dam record set by Tyson and crew in the diesel Vee Skater.

Delivery Day - how it arrived from Daytona to Double Rigged's shop

Not exactly up to my standards.

For the record.....I have not seen the boat in person yet. Will be almost a month before I get to TNT. Talk about trusting the best in the business.....and it doesn't hurt to have DR overseeing the project.

Great thread, I'm glad you are going all the way, and will run it before moving to a 32. The 28 is a great boat with the opti 300 XS package. The acceleration from 70 to 110 is so much fun.
