Rub rail delete

Does anyone have experience with removing their rub rail for a cleaner boat with less lines? redoing my skater now and i am debating whether or not to go down this road.

Thanks

All I can say is I see all the Skaters without rub rails back at Skater for repair. I can't imagine not having a rub rail. May look cleaner, but not user friendly.

I removed the rail from the front and stern. Looks real clean without the dock rash worry.

how did you go about doing it? did you grind the area smooth, then use marine grade filler to feather it in? or did you have to glass the whole area?

I had it done.
Wasn't cheap but looks great.
