looking into either a full windshield or just the pop up ones from FINNEYS.COM
found a place on Facebook called Auro Marine but having very hard time getting them to response if they done a 32A or 32B?
any suggestions or pictures will help
not sure if someone local is better way to go?

A couple of years ago we cut off part of the deck and added a Lee Aerospace wraparound on our 28 Skater.

ive done restos on a few 28s and we tried to get areo to send us the bolt on screen for the 28
I finshed the boat rerig and still no screen from them and hard to get a call back
so I rigged up and made a plug and mold and made 1 myself for him as I have a 28 also so
its a wrap around bolt on fitting on the original deck like a 32a can be done
have made em for other 28s since then

ive had a few with 32a ask me and I can make u 1
just need a boat to plug off of here at my shop
im in Houston area
heres the 28 screen and 32a would look similar as the 28 is a small 32a design
lmk if interested would like to make a nice 1 for the 32

tks I did it as a bolt on so no hull modifications are needed to install
to make it an inexpensive alternative to modifying hull to glass in fairing for the lee

If I hadn’t just picked up a wrap around for my 32A I would be interested in your wind screen for sure! Bolt on would be very nice! I plan to widen my cockpit a bit anywho and I plan on painting the whole boat so I’ll just go ahead and stick with 50X more work for now

You are spot on. The full wraparound requires a bunch of glass work besides the windshield itself. It was ALLOT of work. You will do well with yours as it looks like great quality, and the only other source for a bolt on (Aero) sounds like they might not be a very good supplier.

The only issue that we have had is the “station wagon effect” where the air goes over the glass, but at some point turns around and blows back towards the cockpit. If I am full of fuel I can get gas odors, and I run 300x 2 strokes so I get some odor from them also. I love the power and sound of the X’s, so I need to figure out something.

Oh cmon they smell good too!

Have you played around with a 4-5” flat “wind deflector” like some of the convertible cars have got?

Could always try it with some thin ply and have some folks hold it in place or just mock something up to see if it makes any difference. I think it would look sweet with an engraved Skater logo and some led’s underneath to light it up at night! Just a thought. Could be a PITA to get to the back of the boat aswell.
