Great work John! Looks great and I’m sure it makes a significant difference |
tks I did it as a bolt on so no hull modifications are needed to install
to make it an inexpensive alternative to modifying hull to glass in fairing for the lee |
If I hadn’t just picked up a wrap around for my 32A I would be interested in your wind screen for sure! Bolt on would be very nice! I plan to widen my cockpit a bit anywho and I plan on painting the whole boat so I’ll just go ahead and stick with 50X more work for now :bong: |
oh I hear ya,,,,

It was ALLOT of work. You will do well with yours as it looks like great quality, and the only other source for a bolt on (Aero) sounds like they might not be a very good supplier. The only issue that we have had is the “station wagon effect” where the air goes over the glass, but at some point turns around and blows back towards the cockpit. If I am full of fuel I can get gas odors, and I run 300x 2 strokes so I get some odor from them also. I love the power and sound of the X’s, so I need to figure out something. |

Have you played around with a 4-5” flat “wind deflector” like some of the convertible cars have got? https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...6ba973a62.jpeg Could always try it with some thin ply and have some folks hold it in place or just mock something up to see if it makes any difference. I think it would look sweet with an engraved Skater logo and some led’s underneath to light it up at night! Just a thought. Could be a PITA to get to the back of the boat aswell. |
