Thanks guys for the help. Sounds more involved and labor intensive

If you would like an extremely educated "SWAG" give Dave Wesseldyk a call @ Wesco Racing engines. He rigged and still owns "JAWS" and runs her every couple of years.

As Spiecher lane stated I am almost positive the windshield alone would be more than 20k from Lee Aerospace. Find an open cockpit race boat and go from there. I toyed with doing the same thing to a older Doug Wright. The cost if you can do it yourself is sobering. Don Gardner aka Maritime Marine on here bought the DW I referenced and cut the lid off and redid the interior. There are photos on here of the process. The guy is a craftsman and the work himself. Best of luck and let us know what you purchase. Boating is a great disease.

I would do the glass work myself and maybe the dash. A windshield really costs $20,000?

^^^^ then add the receiver, graft in the receiver and paint.... Money flies out as fast as the boat runs.
Beautiful project when done - look at Freedom after the Wrap Around was added. |
No disrespect OP but its crazy how the thread went from $20K to as high as possibly $100K in 4 posts. Thats nuts...

If you want to repaint the whole boat while you're at it,it will be well over 100k
|
If I remember right the Outerlimits Gold Digger cost 45k to cut the top of the canopy off and finish it as an open cockpit boat.
