hull id skater
 

Hi im going to look at a 40 skater in france, how is the hull id gonna look like and letters.. is there a second hull id on skaters somewhere. bregards leif

The Hull ID will be on the top right hand corner of the Transom. There is no plate or anything fancy on mine, it actually looks like it was scribed in to the paint with a ice pick...

HIN Always starts with DUX (DOUGLAS MARINE CORP)

You can always call the factory - 1 269-857-4308 to verify the HIN and if its a hull where the fuel tanks were prone to failure (if they haven't already been tended too)

Mine is same style. My fiberglass guy was shocked by how rough it looks.

The last 3 digits may be the serial number. (My 28 is serial number 107, and the last 3 digits look like 101 or 107)

sometimes they are in the tunnel. Sometimes they are on the transom

There must be someone here who can tell from the serial number.
