24 Skater Engine mounting height

What hole does the Top Bolt go through on the Engine mount. I am bolting my engines straight to the Transom. I heard it is the second hole. I want to be sure. Thanks Guys

Depends on what motors and year.If you want to make your 24 go 10 mph faster then you should use at least 12" of set back, transom mounted water pick ups with the motors more than 2" above the bottom of the boat.
I've got mine on 6" set backs and no transom pick ups yet.The best I've seen is 103mph with twin 225 hp.My goal is 110 with transom mounted pick ups and 12-18" of set back.I'll be doing that this winter.Good luck.

I will have mine with 2'' of setback. I Have Bobs machine 2" spacers. I was told by skater not to run jackplates this boat was setup for no setback. Also if the gearcases were to high the boat would kite and be to dangerous. I am installing 2.4 bridgeports with offshore mids.

My 24 is totaly safe, thats why I'm looking for more. With 6" set back I use excesive trim to get the boat to run.Pete at Skater told me the same thing about setback, but after installing 6" setbacks I picked up 3 mph.
