Has anyone change a 32-36 skater outboard boat to a sterndrive boat. What mods are needed.

Re: 32-36FT OB change to IO
I would call Pete at Skater if you know of a specific boat that you are going to convert and he can tell you best. He knows almost all of the boats that have been built and can let you know specific details. I dou know that on the old style 32' the deck has a nub added for the top of the drives that the OB didn't have. I know there has been a few channged so I am sure it can be done.

Re: 32-36FT OB change to IO
It can be done. I would recomend sending the boat to skater for the added strength and them cutting the holes for the drives and rig it yourself. Team Rudden was being done when i was at the factory. IT was tripple outboards to twin Sterlings.

Re: 32-36FT OB change to IO
I've Seen A Customers Boat That Was Converted In Florida And The Customer Was Never Satisfied With The Results When They Did The X Dim It Wasn't Correct And The Boat Would Run Nose Down And Could Not Get It To Lift The Nose But If Correctly Done They Are Bad To The Bone.laz Mesa

Skater puts alot of thought before they cut the hole for the drive. Weight of engine and drives factor different into each boat.
