The all white 28 skater with canopies (second pic) is an old raceboat from europe.
It started itīs days in 94 in the 4 litre class.(2xMercury Xr2, 200+ hp each). The power wasn`t really enough approx 95 mph ,so they switched for the 6 litre class in end of 95 (2x2,5 efi).
It is raced a lot and finally broke down quite badly in Argentina in the end of nineties. The bottom of the pontoons cracked allmost all the way and was hardly worth the shipping back to Europe. It was sold there to someone "local" but it has found it`s way back to U.S since then and looks to been restored quite well.It was on sale on ebay a couple of times a few years ago.

Does anybody know where the canopied citre shine skater is nowadays?
Any contact info?

Thanks Marcus

It would be very interesting but when mercury is dropping the 2.5`s things will probably change too much over here in Europe.
Actually there isn`t many boats in Europe, they all race in the Middle East.

There has been a quite good series going on for a few years now in the Middle East (between 12-19 boats per race) but nobody is for sure what will happend next year.
The Uim 6 litre class should go over to homologated EPA engines in 2006 but there is only the 200 xs homologated so far.Time will show because a 28 skater with twin 200 xs engines isn`t probably the most exciting package....
I hope they give permission to use the 2.5 Efi`s as long as there are parts available.
Then there would probably come even more boats because at the moment people don`t want to risk by bying something that you don`t have use of after a year....
