Re: Sonic Motors
Beats the heck of the 260 HP alpha drive set up originally on mine! Nice!
|
Re: Sonic Motors
Nice color combo.....looks great, as does the annodized pulleys. I assume their not factory ? Dont remember any factory pulleys with all the holes, unless its newer type stuff.

Re: Sonic Motors
Lookin good Roger!

Re: Sonic Motors
Very nice!

Re: Sonic Motors
Everything but the color and the pulleys on the blowers are the same as I bought it. The insides of the motors are a lot different. Jeff Riss of RPM did a great job on them. As of right now I have more than doubled the running time on the motors from last year. :D
Sad thing is I only had 2 hours on them before the starboard engine failed last year. John, How is Harry doing. Good I hope. |
Re: Sonic Motors
what's your top end on your 386 in Fresh water with these motors?
|
Re: Sonic Motors
89mph on flat water. That was with 1/4 tanks of fuel. The motors dynoed at 650hp.
|
Re: Sonic Motors
Quiet Storm,
What props are you running and at what rpm?? |
Re: Sonic Motors
32 labed Bravo 1's at 5600rpm.
|
Re: Sonic Motors
Thats some good numbers with relatively mild power ! :evilb:

Re: Sonic Motors
Roger, I'm glad you finally got things sorted out, 89 MPH is very impressive! I spoke with you and your wife last year at Oshkosh after your shortened run, are you returning this year, weather looks great! Steve

Re: Sonic Motors
Hi Steve
We are not going to make it to Oshkosh this year. Except for breaking down, I thought that was a very good poker run but I plan to stay on Lake Michigan for this year. When I first bought the boat it ran 83 mph and I was happy with that but to be able to run in the upper 80's is great. I am surprised myself at speed of this thing but I'm not complaining. :D Good luck with the run. :drink: |
Re: Sonic Motors
89!!!! You can't stop there, 90 is only one away!

I'm planning to wait until the end of the season and lighten the boat up as much as I can, throw in some 110 and see if I can get 90 out of it. If this doesn't work a set of Imco shorties and a pair of 5 blade Herings may get me there. Oh yea, and about $20,000 more dollars. I hope my fall plan works then I can leave it alone. :D Anyone else have pictures of their motors? Lets see them. |
