I was wrong about over 200 being built.

My Hull # is 122. I took final delivery 08/08/06.

There's more than that...between '01 & '04 we sold in the neighborhood of 3 dozen 31s @ our dealership alone, and they've been making the 30SS since 1987. I'm sure that the HIN sequence #'s changed between subsequent ownership changes. Boats are referred to @ the factory by the middle numbers/letters because the first part of the HIN is the manufacturer's code(constant), and the last part is the date of manufacture and model year(constant for that year).

You are correct. I have 38659 which was the 59th 386 that the last owners built.Every time the company has been sold the numbers were started over.

It's just a number....the Cigarette 600th special edition Top Gun went through our dealership too, and it didn't have a 600 in it's HIN.

Our boat was built before CSI bought Sonic. Ours is a 2005. When I was at the factory during production this was the info that I was given by a long time employee.
