I am 98% confident the offshore run will happen, but certain higher powers must bless it first. This is for boaters, not 400,000 fans on the beach. Maybe in two years. <gg>

Every now and then one will show up in Boat Trader.....I went to look at a couple of them and they were pretty rough.
The design of the boat that made it very competitive, was that the bow was much narrower than the Cigarette design.... That meant that when you were racing and going into a head sea, the boat would cut further into the wave before lifting....that kept your props in the water just a little longer and the boat moving forward.

Now that is getting some air....that is what these boats were designed for...safe passage at speed in real ocean conditions.
I would say for sure that boat was pulled out of my old mold....the bottom strake looks a little short compared to where it ends on the 38...it should make for softer landings, but less stability at higher speed.
Here is another air shot for you...

All three of these drivers were National Champions at some point and Betty was World Champ for 2 years also.
I won this race......Ajac Hawk was second and Betty was third. For the first 5 races of the year, Betty and I vied back and forth and were tied for first place in points. She went on to win the world championship this year in Venice Italy, in her cat.
All these boats were very fast, but this boat was their equal, especially in rough water conditions.
