Frige in 42 Sonic
 

I had to replace the frige in my 42. As many of you know the frige is put in before the deck is put on. So that makes a derect rplacement VERY difficult. I found a 3.8 cubic foot Nova Kool that just fits through the door. it's a little smaller, but with a plexy trim peice it works well. Sorry about the poor quality pics all I had with me was my phone.

I know the fridge on our2001 358 and our2005 386 was placed in the cabin through the deck hatch with the door removed. It is a pain the A**.

Rip out the fridge, make a custom door for a nice storage cabinent for the cockpit cover and spare props. That is what I did with mine.

It is less hassle to load up the cooler at home and toss it into the boat. It holds more than the fridge, and the cooler makes a great portable seat for dock parties when you arrive at the destination marina. <gg>
